1) Financial District: DNA Info reports that Moran's, the 25 year-old restaurant and bar two blocks south of the World Trade Center, is closing after service tonight. According to the owners, the business, which holds an annual well-attended 9/11 anniversary gathering, never really rebounded after 9/11, and the recent recession hasn't helped things. That said, they own the landmarked building and have no intention of selling it. [DNA Info]

2) Upper East Side: Sadly, the recent passing of Gianni Garavelli has led to the closing of his neighborhood staple restaurant Bravo Gianni. [NYT]

3) Park Slope: It's a sad time for traditional family Italian restaurants, as Tonio's in Park Slope has also closed according to Fucked in Park Slope. The website states: "The Gaita's thank all of our patrons for their support of Tonio's Restaurant. Sadly, after 19 years, Tonio has retired and closed his restaurant!! :(." [FiPS]

4) East Village: EV Grieve reports on a "For Lease" sign up in short lived Mediterranean restaurant Olivia and photographs the last days of Film Academy Cafe on Astor Place before demolition. [EVG]

5) Upper West Side: Westside Rag notes the closing of Cafe St. Honore right on the heels of neighborhood H&H bagels, possibly attributed to the cafe's negative yelp reviews and reputation. [WSR]

6) Midtown: A tipster notes the vacation of Freshii near Times Square. "The signs have been stripped off the building and inside has been emptied of tables, chairs, etc. There is only a sad little sign on the front door with a clock that says "Closed. Will Return at This Hour." [ShutterWire]
