To celebrate the passage of same sex marriage in New York last month, wonderful Red Hook bakery Baked is giving away a giant wedding cake to the first gay couple to confirm that they're holding their nuptials between July 24, when the law goes into effect, and August 1. The cake (or assortment of cupcakes) will feed up to 150 people and can look all rainbowy and delicious like the cake to right or more straightforward like other cakes in the Baked lookbook. The couple will just have to pay a consultation fee ($25) and a delivery charge (typically $55), saving about $1,000 on a cake like this.
Couples that don't win the cake can still get in on the good cheer. They're offering 10 percent off all cakes for couples that sign on before September 1. For a chance to win, call 718-222-0345.
