Cascabel and je & jo Certified Open; Pour George Tomorrow

1) Upper West Side: Time Out New York reports that Upper East Side establishment Cascabel Taqueria opened up a new location at 2799 Broadway (at 108th.) this past Friday. They're serving the same upscale Mexican menu, including tacos with fillings like yellowfin tuna belly, Amish chicken, and Berkshire pork butt. Status: Certified Open; 2799 Broadway, (212) 665-1500.

2) East Village: The team behind Brooklyn Flea and Chelsea Market staple People's Pops are opening a new pop-up location at 5 PM tomorrow at 118 1st Avenue (at E. 7th). Their new "oddball" location, a former flower cabana sandwiched in between Caracas Arepa Bar and the corner deli, will serve fresh, locally- sourced fruit pops and shaved ice. They get their fruit straight from Greenmarket, so expect the seasonal flavors to change constantly. Status: Opening Tomorrow; 118 1st Avenue, (347) 850-2388.

3) Greenwich Village: Pour George, a cross between gastropub and sports bar, opens up tomorrow night at 35 W. 8th (between 5th and 6th). Consulting chef Josh Eden takes on American classics, among them chicken wings, "Korean style," and a "Steak Tartar Burger." Status: Opening Tomorrow; 35 West 8th (between 5th and 6th), (212) 253-2999.

4) Hell's Kitchen: je & jo, a cookie dough ice cream parlor, opened up their first location last Wednesday. It's all old-school over there; the ice cream and cookie dough are handmade, and served in small paper cups (with the pull-off lids). Status: Certified Open; 515 West 47th (between 10th and 11th), (212) 967-4856.
