WEST VILLAGE—Zagat offers a preview of what will be on the menu at Red Farm, the upcoming restaurant from Ed Schoenfeld and Joe Ng: "There will also be whole squid stuffed with wild mushroom and spinach; Japanese rice flavored with Chinese sausage and black trumpet mushroom covered with lobster and eggplant, then topped with a poached egg; marinated rib-eye steak grilled with baby bok choy, and a casserole of chicken thighs braised with star anise, tomato and crab paste." BOERUM HILL—Brownstoner reports that the building that currently holds Brooklyn dive and A Beer At vet Hank's Saloon is on the auction block. That and two adjacent building will go up for auction all together and have accumulated a $4 million lien. Chances are whoever pays that much in debt alone won't be up for keeping the status quo.
