BATTERY PARK CITY—SouthWestNY, a restaurant owned by Abraham Merchant, has found a new space now that's it's being forced to relocate because of changes at the World Financial Center. They will open on Albany Street and South End Avenue in the former Gate House space, and Merchant hopes there will be no gap between the first restaurant's closure and the second's opening. He says service, menu, and staff will be the same, but it will have "a more contemporary, modern look." He'll also open a new tavern next door (he's splitting the Gate House space) called BlackHounds. [BroadsheetDaily]
