South Houston, C Coffee Shutter; Mizu Closed for Renovations

1) Flatiron: Mizu Sushi, the very solid Flatiron sushi joint on 20th just off Broadway, is closed for renovations. Signage in the window doesn't mention when they hope to reopen. [ShutterWire]

2) Soho: South Houston, the somewhat Southern restaurant that opened on West Broadway by Grand Street just over a year ago, is permanently closed. [ShutterWire]

3) Carroll Gardens: Grub Street reports that the Brooklyn location of Mexican joint 5 Burro Cafe closed last week. [GS]

4) East Village: EV Grieve notices that two month-old coffee shop C Coffee closed on East 3rd St. [EVG]

5) Upper West Side: West Side Rag chimes in with the news that West Lake, one of the last Upper West Side Chinese food spots to serve unlimited boxed wine to diners, is closed for renovations until at least August. It replaced a very similar Silk Road Palace last year. [WSR]
