Hotel Americano Roof Bar Hosts Bastille Day Sneak Peek

New, 1 comment

Another day, another hotel roof bar prepares to opens in New York City. However, permission is granted to get a little more excited for the pending opening of Hotel Americano's restaurant and roof bar. Why? First, it's the much anticipated first New York hotel project for Mexico's Grupo Habita. Second, it's finally a legitimate reason for you to return to West 27th Street since the club's nightlife heyday came to screeching to a halt. Although the hotel doesn't officially open until later this summer, they hosted an intimate preview event last night in honor of Bastille Day at La Piscine, the rooftop restaurant and bar, and according to guest William Tigertt, everyone reportedly partook of "straw hats, rose, croque madame sandwiches, striped shirts, and leggy women." Ooh la la. When it does finally open, the Hotel Americano will also have a Latin-infused, French-style brasserie The Americano on the first floor and a basement lounge called El Privado. The hotel opens September 1.
