A year and a half after starting his LES bun shack BaoHaus, chef/burgeoning food media personality Eddie Huang is expanding the restaurant to the East Village. The second location of Baohaus will take over the old Thai Me Up space on East 14th Street, and if everything goes according to plan, the new shop should open on July 25.
Huang tells Eater than in addition to an expanded menu, BaoHaus 2 will feature a shrine to Yao Ming and Drogo (from Game of Thrones), a wall of family photos, and a "Great Wall of Chinamen" with images of: Connie Chung, Genghis Khan, RZA, Gizmo the Gremlin, William Hung, Confucius, A Karaoke Machine, Chairman Mao, Kung Fu Panda, Long Duck Dong, Tyson Beckford, and others.
