Here's some news that's sure to excite burger fans: Midwestern chain Steak 'n Shake is opening a New York Location sometime soon. The word comes via job a posting on Monster.com, seeking "experienced general managers and restaurant managers for opportunities with our NEW location in NEW YORK CITY." There's still no info yet on where the burger stand will land in the city, or when exactly it will open.

Steak 'n Shake's speciality is their Steakburger, which is a patty made with a mixture of T-bone, sirloin and round steaks (Roger Ebert is a huge fan). Most locations have a '50s style diner vibe, and many are open 24 hours. Although not as popular on a national scale as In-N-Out, lord knows that many New Yorkers with roots in the South and Midwest will be thrilled to have a Steak 'n Shake in the city.

If you have any tips about where New York's first Steak 'n Shake is going to open, you know where to send them.
