Tomorrow, if all goes well, Christina Tosi will debut a more polished version of her Momofuku Milk Bar next to her Brooklyn commissary kitchen. For months, she's had a retail spot there on Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg, but she decided in April to turn it into a more straightforward shop that will sell a wider variety of goods and will accept cash. The new space is next door to their old, make-shift storefront and offers a new pork bun, which is like their take on the classic Momofuku pork bun meets the bo ssam. They come with thinly sliced cucumbers and scallions and can be ordered with a fried poached egg on top (recommended). Vegetarian buns, which made their debut at the Eater Awards last year, are available too.
