ATLANTIC CITY— Atlantic City's Dos Caminos is now open in the Harrah's hotel and casino. It's pretty similar to the ones up here, but clubbier and adjacent to a floor of slot machines. Restaurateur Steve Hanson's other restaurant on the property, Bill's Bar & Burger, will open in a giant space nearby within the next few weeks. UPPER WEST SIDE—Starting tonight, Telepan restaurant is accepting orders for summer picnic baskets filled with three dishes for $21 per basket. Select one main (Cuban sandwich, mushroom-fontina sandwich, fried chicken, tuna chickpea salad), one side salad (farro tabbouleh, spicy cole slaw, tomato & wax bean, summer vegetable) and a dessert (red velvet cupcake, blueberry pie crescent, assorted Telepan cookies) for a meal to tote to nearby Lincoln Center or Central Park.
WEST VILLAGE????Chefs Lee Anne Wong and Camille Becerra will do a one night only pop up dinner at the Little Owl event space this Thursday. The theme: Chino-Latino restaurants. There will be passed hors d’oeuvres, small plates, and a Pernil self-carving station, all paired with cocktails. It's $50 in advance, $60 at the door, and they'll be serving from 6 - 9 PM and then 9 PM - midnight.
MILLBROOK—Millbrook Vineyards & Winery in upstate New York are launching weekend getaway packages. They're offering van shuttle service between the winery and the Poughkeepsie train station on weekends, now through October. $75 a head gets wine lovers a trip to a from the station, a gift bag filled with wine goods, lunch at the vineyard, and a guided tour and wine tasting.
