Scores has settled a lawsuit brought by employees by agreeing to pay a $450,000 settlement. Among various wage and hour infractions, Scores dancers, busboys and bartenders, accused the gentleman's club of regularly confiscating their tips by allowing high end clients to leave tips in the club's Diamond Dollars instead of cash. When the employees went to exchange the funny money for US currency, the company deducted and retained a portion of the tips. Apparently that's a no no. The employees had been seeking significantly more money. [Law360, subscription required]
