Humm and Guidara's Nomad Project Will Be Like 'The Stones'

New, 7 comments

The Feast got a hard hat tour of the forthcoming Nomad Hotel, which will have a food and beverage program from Daniel Humm and Will Guidara of Eleven Madison Park. The space is in heavy construction mode right now, but when it's all put together, it will feature a dining room, library, bar, semi-private fireplace nook, and a large atrium, covered by a glass pyramid. The restaurant project will be a much more casual affair than EMP. Actually, Humm says that it will be a lot like The Rolling Stones:

When you listen to their music, they feel loud, loose, and chaotic.... But if you read about The Stones, they're one of the most studied and deliberate groups in the last forty years. To pursue something with intention and deliberation is exactly what we're about. We want things to be fun, but we don't want things to just happen randomly.
Music will also be play a prominent roll in the design of the space, and there's even a chance that they might have live performers sometimes. Nomad is slated to open February, 2012
