As reported yesterday, one of the stops on President Obama's whirl-wind money raking tour in New York yesterday was Restaurant Daniel, Daniel Boulud's four star fine dining gem on the Upper East Side. There, Obama took in a projected $2.5 million from donors, mainly Wall Street financial types, who paid $35,800 for the chance to dine and hobnob with the POTUS.
Obama sandwiched the dinner between an appearance at an LGBT event and a showing of the musical "Sister Act" on Broadway. Want to know what they ate? Actually, like Marcus Samuelsson, Boulud served the president lobster salad and braised short ribs, just without the cornbread with honey butter. View the complete menu, wines and all, below, and decide if it was worth the 16,696 percent price hike over a run of the mill meal at Daniel.
