140 East 41st St., Midtown
Phone: 212-86-8889
Status: Officially opened today

Num Pang the popular Greenwich Village Cambodian sandwich shop—originally a spinoff of now defunct restaurant Kampuchea—opens a second branch today on East 41st Street in Midtown. The Midtown location, like the original, is super small and (unlike its sister) has no room for seating. The menu is pretty much the same as the one downtown: a mix of classic and original sandwiches including catfish, veal meatballs, pork belly, mackerel, steak, shrimp, and pulled pork all for $6.75 - 9 per sandwich. And this branch has two brand new sandwiches: a Khmer sausage sandwich and a roasted chicken sandwich.

To celebrate the opening, the sandwich spot is holding a special photo contest from today through June 29. Upload a twitter pic, cc'ing @NumPang with the #mynumpang hashtag, and get a chance to win dinner for 10.
