Last June, century-old Seaport Italian restaurant Carmine's closed its doors, following a dispute with the landlord. Now DNA Info reports that the team of entrepreneurs who brought the Five Guys burger chain to NYC are opening an upscale steakhouse in the space called The Fighting Chair. The name is a reference to the chairs that fishermen use when they're pulling in a big catch.

The exact menu details haven't been nailed down yet, but a spokesperson for the group says, "This will be their own personal restaurant, [more] upscale." The CB1 gave them initial approval for a liquor license this week, after they agreed to close at midnight on weekdays, and 1 AM on weekends. And don't expect to see any of the classic nautical details from the old restaurant when they do open: those are now living in a bar in Annapolis, Maryland. The Fighting Chair is slated for an October debut.
