The line for Bapcha (Korean noodle) on 49th near 6th Ave. by Will Femia

ASTORIA— Hot new grilled cheese shop The Queens Kickshaw is now serving cold brewed iced coffee, on draught. One of the owners writes in: "What began as a quandary of ergonomics (our baristas clamoring for a better location for our cold brewed iced coffee in pitchers) gave rise to a revelation. The Queens Kickshaw was having its draught beer lines installed, when the almost obvious solution presented itself: coffee on draught. Problem solved, and the quenchy single origins can now flow effortlessly. We did a taste-test comparison between the cold-brew straight out of the brewing mechanism, with the cold-brew via the tap -- there was no discernible difference." [EaterWire]
