Next week, the owners of Amagansett's The Meeting House will bring a little taste of the Hamptons to the West Village. On Thursday, chef and owner Tim Bando will open Tremont in the old La Foccacia space (which shuttered after a fire last April) on Bank Street and West 4th. The restaurant is named for Bando's Cleveland neighborhood and will seat around 45. The cuisine will be new American with a Mediterranean accent, featuring items like brick half chicken, pork chops, poached lobster, and sweetbreads. Purportedly, the interior has a beachy vibe.
When it opens, the restaurant will just be open from 5 PM - midnight and will only take reservations for parties of six or more. Brunch and lunch will follow later this month. Stay tuned for a look inside next week.
