What: Today is the final day for Peter Hoffman's trailblazing Soho restaurant, Savoy. They're serving a $85 five-course dinner tonight, and it's totally booked up. 2) Festival of 7 Ingredients:
Where: 201 Mulberry Street
When: Saturday, 6 PM - 9 PM
What: Next week, Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn wil be throwing a food fest called Eat Drink Local. They're having a kickoff event tonight at the OpenHouse Gallery with food from Bubby's, Hundred Acres, Carino, Macao Trading Company, Bobo, Print, and Palo Santo. 3) The Total Smith Street Immersion
Where: Smith Street Near Carroll Street
When: Saturday, Noon - 6 PM
What: A summer block party in Carroll Gardens sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery. They'll be offering samples of their brews, including a new style called "The Concoction," but there will also be a number of complimentary goodies and deals at participating restaurants, like 10% off at Stinky Bklyn, $6 cocktails at Clover Club, and a free can of summer ale at Gowanus Yacht Club. 4) The New Amsterdam Market
Where: 100 Peck Slip
When: Sunday, 11 AM - 4 PM
What: The weather should be great for the New Amsterdam Market tomorrow. The lineup this weekend includes: Blue Bottle Coffee, Jimmy's No.43, Luke's Lobster, Morris Grilled Cheese, and Dickson's Farmstand Meats. Fany Gerson of La Newyorkina will be promoting her new cookbook, Paletas, and giving out free treats to kids. [photo credit]
5) Northside Fest/Smorgasburg
Where: 27 North 6 Street
When: Saturday and Sunday
What: Williamsburg's hot new food market returns today (9 AM - 5 PM). Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Flea (on Sunday) will also be offering a deal to people attending the nearby Northside Festival: an "Eat Free at the Flea!" ticket, which can be redeemed at a number of stalls at the markets (dish options are up to the vendors).
Also of note: If you're looking for a new place to try, consider Matteo Boglione's White & Church, Seersucker spinoff Smith Canteen (breakfast and lunch only), or crazy new sumo-themed restaurant DohYO at the Yotel.
