Orchard Street shopkeepers are complaining of rampant crime and shoplifting during their hours of operation, and have now been invited to a sit down with the NYPD's 7th precinct to discuss the situation and potential solutions. An obvious one would be to be call off the undercover operations that shut down bars on seemingly trumped up charges and use those resources instead to prevent shopkeepers from getting thrown through plate glass windows.
