Casa Nonna and GO Burger Open Today in Midtown

Today, ESquared Hospitality—parent company of BLT Restaurant Group—opens a New York branch of their Washington DC restaurant Casa Nonna. The restaurant focuses on Roman and Tuscan fare, dishing out large portions of antipasti, pastas, Neopolitan pizzas, and entrees like veal chops, grilled devil chicken, and whole grilled branzino. The space features an open kitchen, a pizza bar, a large bar, and a 150-seat dining room, and seems to be going for that Morini-like chic Italian farmhouse vibe with those dark tiled floors and tan leather banquettes. Design details include walls filled with framed drawings and photographs, shelves of copper pans, and vases filled with random junk like corkscrews and candy.

Oh but that's not all! The restaurant also holds a branch of GO Burger, which peddles hot dogs, burgers, sides, and the like. The two restaurants are open for lunch from 11:30 AM - 2 PM and for dinner from 5:30 - 10:30 (11:30 on the weekends, 10 on Sundays). Find more info, including the menus, here.
