Is Don Hill's Ready For Another Comeback?

New, 3 comments

It seemed like the good times were permanently over at Don Hill's when word spread last week that the building's owner had decided to padlock the door on the bar's owners Nur Khan and Paul Sevigny. This followed the sad passing of Don Hill himself, and it seemed that the building would quickly be sold to make way for a residential development. But the Villager reports that the good times may continue, as Hudson Square activist David Reck says, "there’s going to be a new management team come in — it’s all going to be the same thing. There is some talk about a development scheme two years down the road. . . So, no, it’s not being sold at this point and Don Hill’s will return in a somewhat different form with new management.” As for Khan and Sevigny's run at the club, Reck says "the previous guys that Don Hill was involved with weren’t that great". A ringing endorsement.
