The sad, sad dismantling of Chris Cannon's two high-end Midtown Italian restaurants continues. Tomorrow, fans and wine collectors can bid on the two now shuttered restaurants' expansive wine collections in an auctioning off of their cellars at Smith & Wollensky on 3rd Ave. As the listing on Zachy's promises, this sale offers "unique opportunities to bring home selections from two of the most comprehensive Italian wine programs in recent memory." We're talking reserve Barolos from the 1950's and 60's, 1997 Brunellos, and Ribolla Amphora Gravner from the 2001, 2002 and 2003 vintages. A perfect way to spend that tax check.
