Does New York really need another new beer garden, what with Spritzenhaus, Hofbrau Bierhaus, and that monster that they're building on top of Eataly? Sure, why not, especially if it's from Jeffrey Chodorow. Grub Street reports that the mega-restaurateur is opening up an outdoor companion to his food hall project in the Eventi Hotel called BeerParc that will serve tap beer from Brooklyn Brewery, Magic Hat, and others, plus a number of gourmet eats.
When FoodParc opened back in September, El Chod mentioned that he'd eventually be doing something like this, and now he's finally lined up the vendors he wanted including Ed Brown, who will be offering raw bar items, and Zak Pelaccio, who will be doing a Fatty Snack stand. Edi & the Wolf will also be participating, and Harold Dieterle is doing a stall called Soi 29. Everything will be purchased via a $3 ticket system, and they're going to show baseball games and other sporting events on the massive TV screen that lines the 12,000-square-foot outdoor space. BeerParc is slated to debut on May 18.
