Spend Cinco de Mayo at Eater & The Little Owl's Taco Popup

New, 8 comments

Cinco de Mayo, potentially the booziest day in the New York dining world, is just two short days away. We here at Eater have figured out the perfect way to spend it: with us and The Little Owl's Joey Campanaro.

How, you ask? This Thursday, from 12pm to 9pm—or while supplies last—Eater is joining forces with Campanaro and Chef Gustavo Machuca (aka “El Jefe”) at the new Little Owl Event Space on Greenwich Avenue in the West Village to throw a monster Cinco de Mayo TACO EXTRAVAGANZA pop-up, complete with several types of tacos, beer, Mexican coke, margaritas, streamers, good times, old movies, and, hell why not, a Mariachi band. It's called Eater Presents El Buho Pequeño, which, translated, means—er, right. Exactly.

Here's how it's going to work. The first hour of the event will be open for VIPs, which in this case means Eater readers that win a spot via contests we'll be running all day tomorrow. After that, at 1pm, El Buho Pequeño opens to the general public. $10 scores three tacos and a beer or a coke. $5 extra gets you into Margaritaville.

So get excited, block out the lunch hour on Thursday, plan on taking the afternoon off, and cancel your early evening plans, because the fun starts in under 48 hours.
