Big Chefs, Small Screen

2011_05_riperttreme.jpgOnce again, some of New York's biggest chefs made some major cameos on HBO's Treme. On last night's episode character Janette Desautel meets with Tom Colicchio to apologize for having thrown a cocktail at Alan Richman's face (he had apparently gotten her the gig). Colicchio refers her to Eric Ripert because "He's a Buddhist, he's all about forgiveness, he'll take care of you." Then Ripert gives her a job working garde manger. Clips ahead. [Eater National]
