East Village Newcomer Blatantly Steals Prime Meats' Menu

A couple days ago EV Grieve brought word of East Village Brewery & Beer Shop, a new operation opening soon at 14 Avenue B. The owners hope to open a restaurant and retail space with "in-house, award-winning craft beer" paired with "a foodie restaurant with a steak-based menu." About that menu. It looks strikingly familiar to another steak-centric menu, that of two star Brooklyn restaurant Prime Meats. In fact, it's an exact copy.

One can assume this is just the menu they put up to win over neighbors and the community board and they didn't actually hope to execute it. But still, it's lazy to say the very least. See more side by side comparisons below.
