Today, the Times profiles faimly-owned Upper East Side prepared food shop William Poll, called "one of the last bastions of old New York on the Upper East Side." Since the 1920's they've been selling food to the monied class uptown, and they've weathered all kinds of changes, including the latest recession. Per one owner, "People still order caviar, but now they want to know the price before they do.” [NYT]
