2011_05_empellonthumb.jpgOn Wednesday, writer Steve Plotnicki wrote a blog post questioning chef Alex Stupak's decision to give up on a successful career as a pastry chef to open Mexican restaurant Empellon. Yesterday Stupak defended his choices and called out Plotnicki for being rude. Today Plotnicki is back saying a big chef friend of his thinks Stupak is a "douche," concluding "I prefer the tacos that I get from the Mexican lady’s cart on Second Avenue and 97th Street to the ones at Empellon."
