Le Caprice, the London import that opened on the Upper East Side last year with a big attitude but some tepid reviews, has hired a new chef. Ed Carew, who has worked at Gramercy Tavern, Craftbar, and Fiamma, but was recently working in San Francisco as chef at Café des Amis, will "derive his menu from the excitement he feels from being back in New York City."
