New York City is home to a lot of restaurants, more than any rational human being can ever hope to visit. Among that number are hidden gems the majority of New Yorkers just aren't unearthing. To help guide us to these potential discoveries, we've enlisted some of our city's many food luminaries to share with us their under the radar recommendations for Dining Confidential.
Momofuku Milk Bar whizbang baker Christina Tosi is up next and while her pick isn't the most under the radar we've ever seen, it's not without its charm.
"Dunkin' Donuts, the one on Graham and Metropolitan in Williamsburg - I grew up obsessed with vanilla creme donuts. We lived a block away from a Dunkin' Donuts and as a ravenous teenager, I'd make my sister stop with me so I could get a 1/2 or whole dozen of them. Fried dough stuffed with vanilla frosting? C'mon! Do you know how hard these suckers are to find at Dunkin' Donuts in NYC? HARD! But this Dunkin' has them. Nearly all the time. I try to make it a Saturday or Sunday tradition to have just one, but sometimes I make a stop for an evening snack."
