There is a long list of national American chains that have yet to penetrate the Manhattan market—including In & Out, Waffle House, Chili's, and Sonic. Panera Bread can be taken off that list. While the growing sandwich chain (currently with 1,400 locations) has already announced plans to open up shop in Brooklyn, today the Post reports it will soon make its Manhattan debut. They'll open up shop at a 3,3000 square foot spot at 330 7th Ave. between 29th and 30th Streets, in the same vicinity as a Chipotle, a Pret a Manger, and a soon to open Five Guys. Quite the selection for those FIT kids over there!
