Rucola, a new all-day Italian bistro and cafe in Boerum Hill, will make its debut on the corner of Dean and Bond Streets next Thursday, April 28. Started by a group of Prime Meats, Death & Co, and Cafe Boulud alums, the restaurant will serve pastries, egg dishes, and sandwiches and salads throughout the day and will transition to a vegetable-centric dinner menu, filled with pastas, seasonal specialties, and local meats. As is customary these days, as many ingredients as possible come from local farms or (soon) the restaurant's own garden. The cocktails skew Italian—lots of bitters and Amaro—and the look itself gives off a rustic Italian farmhouse vibe.
