Crain's reports that three year-old Park Slope neighborhood restaurant and bar Beer Table is opening a 300 square foot retail space in Grand Central Graybar Passage. Owner Justin Philips has been in negotiations, on and off, with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority for about three years but finally sealed the deal with the $6,300 a month rent.
The Beer Table store will focus on selling regional beer in growlers and an international selection of bottled brew. They'll also sell some food items, including mustards and vinegars and "various ingredients that would go well with cooking with beer." Once they get their liquor license, construction will begin. Philips says it should open in a couple of months.
