An End to Controversy

New, 3 comments

2011_UCB_theater_sign1.jpgToday, Amy Poehler presented the controversial "Hot Chicks Room" sign, which once adorned the bar at the soon-to-open UCB Theater East, to a non-profit group called Earth Matter. They will use it for a compost learning center on Governor's Island. Poehler explained that they took down the sign out of respect for their new neighbors, and that they'd always written the phrase in unappealing places at the old theater, as a joke.
