Getting listed on the San Pellegrino 50 Best Restaurants in the World list is becoming a bigger and bigger deal for restaurants listed. Never mind that judges often include chefs and restaurateurs that are eligible for the list, that they are known to vote for restaurants they've never been to and gladly accept paid junkets from tourism boards to try out certain nominees.
