MEATPACKING DISTRICT—The guys from DeBragga & Spitler have launched an iPhone app that will allow users to learn about dry aged beef, the consumption of responsibly raised meats, and the food service operators who use them. [EaterWire]

LONG ISLAND CITYFork in the Road and Diner's Journal report that the team who owns and runs Dutch Kills in Long Island City is opening a fancy ice company. Called Hundredweight Ice & Cocktails, they will "saw, chisel, and sculpt crystal-clear ice cubes and other shapes for cocktail bars and special events." [FitR; DJ]

HAMPTONS—Richie Notar, a co-owner of Nobu, tells Grub Street that he has found a space for a Southampton location of his Japanese restaurant chain. Located in the old Pink Elephant space, it will be called Nobu at the Beach and will serve the restaurant's regular menu but will be a little more relaxed. [GS]

FLATIRON—On Monday, May 2, star chef Laurent Gras will serve a special four-course dinner at BLT Fish. It runs $85 a head. [EaterWire]
