Beef 7 Ways, the overindulgent large format feast at David Chang's Midtown restaurant Ma Peche just got a little bit cheaper, just at a moment when restaurants around town are cranking up the prices on steaks and prix fixes. On Thursday, the restaurant published a menu update. The beefapalooza now includes wagyu, tendon, a meat pie, ribs, ribeye, brisket, and oxtail soup, subbing out previous offerings of sausage, tongue, and beef shank.
More importantly, the meal now costs a set $450 for parties of four to eight. Given it once ran $85 a head with a six person minimum, groups will save anywhere between $60 and $230. Four tops, an inadvisable scenario given the size of this feast, will be doling out $112 a head. But think of the leftovers.
