At the end of the month, the movie theater/bar/restaurant/experience now called Nighthawk Cinema (fka Cassandra Cinemas) will finally make its premiere, three years after plans were first announced and two years after the LED lights spanning the entire building first made their debut. The theater will house three screens, multiple bars, and a restaurant in a converted warehouse space on Metropolitan between Berry and Wythe. Two of the theaters will feature underlit tables between every pair of seats, and moviegoers will be able to place written orders with servers during the films.
That's not all! As often as possible, the theater will serve food that goes along with the theme of the movie, so "if the theater were to screen Steve Martin's comedic classic, 'The Jerk,' the restaurant could serve pizza in a cup." Hey, if Brooklyn Bowl can combine music, food, and bowling, these guys can combine movies, food, and drinking. Williamsburg, the new home of giant multi-themed entertainment complexes for adults who miss Dave & Busters.
