All-You-Can-Eat Ribs at RUB BBQ; New Chef at Alias

LOWER EAST SIDE— The Lo-Down reports that starting May 5 Marcellus Coleman will be the new chef at Lower East Side favorite Alias. According to the owner he's going to update “the existing menu with seasonally inspired dishes that will shake your taste buds whilst maintaining the great value (the restaurant) is known for." GREENWICH VILLAGE—Tonight, Harold Dieterle is hosting a special German dinner at his restaurant Perilla. He will feature a seven course menu of his and his chef de cuisine’s favorite German dishes, including wild sturgeon confit with borscht, braised rabbit leg with Badische Schupfneudeln, and brisket and sauerkraut knockwurst with Emmentalier lager fondue and fried potatoes.
