Chef de Cuisine and Sous Leave Morimoto for Ramen Shop

Jamison Blankenship, the chef de cuisine at big box Chelsea restaurant Morimoto and his executive sous chef David Koon are leaving the restaurant after five years of service. The two chefs left of their own accord, and supposedly with the blessing of Chef Morimoto, to open a ramen shop in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, quite the burgeoning food neighborhood, what with the standby James and newcomer Dean Street. They will help to find and train their replacements.

And they must have recently given notice, because just three days ago a posting went up on Craiglist for Blankenship's replacement. Those angling to get into the Stephen Starr empire should get to it.
