Yesterday, President Obama and a group of 50 deep pocketed supporters willing to pay $30,800 a head to dine with him headed up to Marcus Samuelsson's new Harlem hotspot Red Rooster for a DNC fundraiser. And, as it so happens, they did not eat fried yard bird. They gathered on the Rooster's lower level and dined on cornbread with honey butter, lobster salad with asparagus and peas, braised short ribs with spring onions and honey-glazed chokes, chocolate cake, and sweet potato doughnuts, all served alongside American wines. What no apple pie?

Hundred of people of course gathered to see the motorcade before Obama entered the restaurant around 6 PM and a huge group applauded as he left at 8:30.
