The Five Best Comments on Eater This Week

Welcome to Saturday Night Five, where we shine a light on the best quips, barbs, burns, and nuggets of truth from Eater NY commenters. Here's
this week's cream of the crop
:

5) New York Journal on the NIMBY battle against John Fraser's new Soho restaurant:

What Happens When is so dangerous. I am so happy that I got out of there alive.
4) EV Chick gives her two cents on the closing of Mara's Homemade:
one of the worst meals i've ever had...and i biked there!

3) We like Eating Big Apple's attitude about this year's JBA nominations:

While it's a bit disappointing how NYC didn't fare as well as last year (which would be hard to top), it's a good opportunity for everyone to get familiar with chefs and restauranteurs from other cities.
2) Sneakeater thinks the concept of new food and goods shop By Brooklyn is a bit flawed:
In Brooklyn, shouldn't we have a store where everything is made in the Bronx?
1) An anonymous commenter shares an experience had at Marc Murphy's favorite Chinatown restaurant:
Last time I was at Big Wong there was a cockroach the size of a rat on the wall. I pointed it out and said gross, and then my girlfriend called me a pussy. The food was good though.
Congrats to this week's Saturday Night Five! Next round's on us.
