Welcome to our photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographer Daniel Krieger visits some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, Prime Meats.
Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli's German steakhouse of sorts Prime Meats is quite the buzzy Carroll Gardens destination at night, filled with locals and Manhattanites pouring in for the cocktails, the steak, the homemade pretzels, the spaetzle. But come in the morning and in the lazy weekday afternoons and it's a laidback locals spot, flooded with light and populated by couples, buddies, and babies looking for a strong cup of coffee (okay, not the babies) and maybe some burgers or eggs. Take a tour.
