Levain Bakery Opens up Second Location in Harlem

Harlem residents got a nice little gift in the form of Levain Bakery, the almost iconic Upper West Side cookie and muffin purveyor that opened up its second location on West 117th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard yesterday morning. The debut of the 3,200 square-foot headquarters is just the latest in a string of new openings for Frederick Douglass Boulevard, which has seen a growth in both condos and businesses like restaurants and bar over the past year or two.
