For the last couple of weeks Marc Murphy's new Upper West Side location of his beachy West Village restaurant Ditch Plains has been open in preview mode. Yesterday, the training wheels came off and it officially opened to the public. Located in the old BarBao space, the new Ditch has 165 seats and covers 5,000 square feet of space. Like the downtown location, it serves lobsters from Long Island, mac 'n' cheese covered hot dogs, mussels, and playful cocktails. More info here. [EaterWire]
