Gusto Passes Inspection Following DOH Shut Down

There's some good news and some bad news for fans of West Village Italian restaurant Gusto. The bad news is, they were shuttered by the Health Department on Tuesday and Wednesday after botching their inspection this week. They racked up a whopping 51 points for the typical food temperature and vermin related violations (11 points more than they received just a week earlier). The good news: they passed a re-inspection with 13 points—an A grade!—just yesterday and should be good to go for the weekend.
