The EMM group, owners of Abe and Arthur's, Tenjune, and the soon to open Lexington Brass, have filed a $30 million lawsuit against Vikram Chatwal's Dream Downtown hotel according to Page Six. The suit claims that Chatwal had shook hands with EMM on a deal to operate the Dream Downtown's hospitality spaces, including a massive rooftop pool and club space, but that Chatwal had secretly given the deal to EMM's blood rivals at Strategic Group before any paperwork had been signed. We had already told you that several groups had been vying for the space, and know that EMM were very upset when they found out that they had lost. But while you can sympathize with someone over a lost deal, there apparently was never any legal contract signed. And just when everyone had been getting along so well.
