Cafe Boulud Heads to LA For One-Night Dinner at Animal

It might not generate as much buzz these days as DBGB, or the forthcoming Boulud Sud, but Cafe Boulud remains one of Daniel Boulud's most cherished New York restaurants, especially because it is home to all-around great chef Gavin Kaysen. Now, Kaysen and Co. tell us that for one very special night only, April 18, they'll be packing up and heading out to LA for a Cafe Boulud dinner at Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo's wildly popular Animal restaurant.

This will be a proper collaboration between the two teams of chefs, but the emphasis will be on Cafe Boulud classics. They'll be serving a four-course tasting menu for $75, with an optional wine pairing of $25 — which is a solid deal in California, New York, or anywhere, really.
