In a shocking blow that comes just months after the untimely shutter of Times Square's ESPN Zone, we learn today that the neighborhood may lose yet another icon: T.G.I Friday's. The national chain's Times Square branch on Broadway and 46th, which has been overcharging tourists for Jack Daniels chicken tenders and cotton candy martinis for years, is on the market according to The Post. The Riese Organization is looking to unload T.G.I's 15,000 square foot building—including the restaurant and rooftop billboards. Luckily, if a buyer does come forward to transform the building, there are seven other T.G.I. locations in Midtown alone.
